Class 4 have been studying the mysterious world of the Ancient Mayans. As well as studying their system of Mathematics, calendar, religion and festivals, we also looked at the colours and designs they employed in their pottery work and use it to create our own replicas!
We also undertook a DT project by deciding to recreate the famous Copan Stairway! We used shoeboxes for bricks, adorned them with our own Mayan logograms and then construction was underway! We then decorated our stairway with realistic leaves and vines to show how the ruin of the Copan Stairway looks today.
